Customization
I would like to go two ways with this: De-Customize and Master Customization.
There are times which I feel it was stupid to customize a weapon and wish I could reverse my actions. I know that the idea of customizing anything means it is now made specifically for you, but why couldn't that also mean that another character could come along and modify it again to fit their needs.
I would pay many platinum to take the customization off of some of my more rare weapons.
Why not have another gold-sink called Elite Customization or Master Customization? Maybe it could only be applied to uncommon, rare, or unique weapons and not be undone. If it's a good idea, we can talk mods later.
Just my 2 gold.

I think its a good idea, though it doesn't really effect me. I rarely customize anything.

I don't customize anything but collector weapons, currently. But I would if I could un-do it.

I'm confused with your idea of Master Customization. You're saying that you feel it was stupid to customize some items that you did, so you want to de-customize that item. Then, you say that there should be some way to not de-customize an item, just the way we have it now.
Is this Master Customization supposed to have some kind of extra bonus?

However, the argument we will hear is that it would further damage the economy. If you customized your crystalline sword, then there is one less out there, causing the prices to stay where they are. If you are able to remove the customizing then there is another crystalline on the market.

As long as 'uncustomized' items must can be used ONLY by characters of the same account and MUST be customized again to be used, I could agree.
Otherwise not. Since this would bring back many items to the market, and we need to take them out so the new ones have demand.

Customization is designed to dilliberately remove items from circulation.
It's the reason customization exists in the first place. Otherwise, a.net might as well just add an automatic 20% damage to all weapons and have everything be uncustomized.

Would prefer to skip the whole remove customization bit, and just change the customization to account based instead of character based (affecting weapons only, not armor). If that isn't possible, then I will go with quoted solution.

If you want the +20% damage bonus you have to pay the price of not being able to use it on other characters. having it being reversible would be a bad idea, and as HawkofStorms said they may as well just add a perma +20% to all weps if this idea came into place.

Un-customization would be super IMBA. Seriously, take your perfect Crystalline, customize it, then, maybe later if you want to delete that character, just un-customize it with no consequences. It would just be abused. Think before you customize.
Also, Master Customization would make PvP IMBA too, unless they did away with normal customization.

Caster customizations please.
(Say wands can inflict a brief second of Burning, Blindness, Slowed Attack Speed, or Slow Movement Speed for Fire, Air, Earth, Water respectively. Not enough to be IMBA but just enough to slightly decrease enemy performance when you're not casting.)

Kind of contradicted yourself there, unless these conditions lasted for 0.1 seconds.

If you're going to use a particular weapon on a character forever, then go right ahead and customize it. If you plan to sell it later, then don't.
